Hello Parents!

This week went by quickly with only 4 days in school! Students continued to explore telling time as we played quiz games during the Warm Up on Thursday and Friday. You can see in the picture, students were given their own iPads to answer question shown on the board. Then the whole class can see who scored the highest by answering the most points the fastest! The students also logged onto Edmodo.com to post their learning and answer more Math quiz questions! Ask your student for their Edmodo log-on information to see their work at home.

In Writing, after brainstorming many family stories or important events, students selected an idea to write their personal narrative. Students will begin writing their personal narratives on Friday this week. 

I finalized all Reading Level testing this week. There will soon be a letter sent home with students old reading levels, new reading levels, and the expectations of 2nd graders at this time in the year. I will be holding individual conferences with students, so they can understand their current Reading level as well.
