Dear Parents,

As we finished the Math Time Unit last week, students worked on a "Perfect Movie Day" project. First, they had to choose a time of a movie they wanted to see (listed on colored paper). Then, they wrote the time on an analog clock, described the time in words and explained if it was in AM or PM. Last, students wrote a story about their day at the movies.

This is a great example of how you can help students connect math problems to real-world situations. On Thursday, students took a Quarter 2 Test reviewing Time, Money, and Measurement. Please continue to talk about using money, time, and measurement at home to show your students how important it is to understand math concepts.

Thank you for your home support.
